Air Duct Sealing Services

Are You Looking For Air Duct Sealing Services Near You?

Do you have high electricity bills in the summer or winter? Does it take a long time to heat or cool a room in your home? Are dust and debris being blown throughout your home? This could be due to holes, leaks, disconnected ducts, or unbalanced air distribution. Sealing your air ducts can create a more comfortable, energy-efficient home.

According to Energy Star, about 20-30% of the air that moves through your ducts can be lost due to these issues, causing your HVAC system to run longer and potentially drawing dust and debris from your attic or crawl space into your home.

The Sealing Process

  • Unsealed Boot: Allows dust and debris into your home and warm or cool air from the furnace to escape.
  • Sealing with Mastic Tape: The sheet metal boot under the register is sealed with mastic tape.
  • Mastic Sealant: The boot is sealed to the floor with mastic sealant.

Benefits of Air Duct Sealing

  • Save on Energy Bills: Properly sealed ducts help reduce energy bills by ensuring that your HVAC system works efficiently.
  • Improve Indoor Air Quality: Sealing ducts prevents dust and debris from being pulled into your home, enhancing air quality.
  • Enhanced Comfort: A well-sealed duct system ensures that your home is heated and cooled more effectively, maintaining a comfortable indoor environment.

We service the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento/Stockton Valley.

The Air Doctor Standards

Air Doctor adheres to NADCA standard specification guide and uses the source removal method. We use a portable HEPA filtered air duct vacuum system (and/or gas-powered commercial air duct vacuums) to clean all supply ducts, return air ducts, and plenums. This system is brought into each room and used in conjunction with a compressed air whip (and/or rotating power brushes). The air whip agitates the duct while the HEPA filtered air duct vacuum system creates a negative vacuum at 3500 cfm (up to 10,000 cfm with our gas-powered commercial air duct vacuums). Once each supply air duct is cleaned, the return air system is cleaned in the same fashion. Finally, we clean the furnace unit.
