Air Duct Cleaning

Reasons you might need air duct cleaning:

  • Do you or your loved ones suffer from asthma and allergies?
  • Do you have pets in your home?
  • Are you moving into a “new to you” home?
  • Have you done any remodeling or construction in your home?
  • Have you had fire, smoke, water or mold damage?
  • Do you have excess dust or odors in your home?
  • Has it been 2-3 years since your air ducts have been cleaned?

According to NADCA, dust, dander, and debris build up in your duct system and  re-circulates throughout your home about 5 to 7 times per day. This can contribute to lower indoor air quality and may be the cause of other health issues. These contaminants can also lead to a less efficient heating and cooling system. This buildup can cause your HVAC system to work harder to reach your desired temperature and can also shorten the life of your system.

Air Doctor prides its’ standards to that of the   NADCA  standard specification  guide using the source removal method. Air Doctor uses a portable HEPA filtered air duct vacuum system (and/or gas powered commercial air duct vacuums) to clean all supply ducts, return air ducts and plenums. This portable HEPA filtered air duct vacuum system is brought into each room and used in conjunction with a compressed air whip (and/or rotating power brushes). The air whip agitates the duct while the HEPA filtered air duct vacuum system is creating negative vacuum at 3500 cfm (up to 10,000 cfm with our gas powered commercial air duct vacuums). Once each supply air duct is cleaned throughout the supply system, the return air system is cleaned in the same fashion.   Finally, we conclude cleaning the system at the furnace where we   clean the   unit.
